The property’s location is its biggest draw, steps away from Central Park, two blocks from Lincoln Center, and four from the Columbus circle subway hub. The front desk staff was polite and helpful, and so was the security desk, which is necessary for the volume of circulation of a property operating its fitness and lodging facilities through a single access point. When a maintenance issue arose, the staff quickly contacted the facilities person who was at our door shortly thereafter, with all they needed to handle problem. The premises are kept clean and maintained. The Y also offers fantastic fitness facilities, with access included in your room’s fees.

It was very conveniently located. I’d like the fact that there was a pool and it was accessible to me. It would’ve been nice to know that you require swim caps, which I would’ve brought if I knew. I wish there was ice available ? There was only refrigerator on the top floor. I don’t know that the extra money was worth it for just a refrigerator and a private bathroom. I actually prefer being on the lower floor more just felt safer.

Great location. I only needed about 12hrs for a layover and it was nice not spending it alone overnight in a train station

Central Park is steps away and close to restaurants, grocery stores and transportation. I had a small comfortable room with AC and shared bathroom. I really enjoyed it.

Great walking location. Tiny rooms but served the purpose. Beds were very comfortable and the private bathroom had amazing water pressure and temperature. Air conditioner was cold and the fridge was icy from start to finish

The location was great, walkable to so many things. The facilities were clean and quiet, and sharing a bathroom was really no big deal.

Everything was perfect. Location with easy access to Columbus circle subway and central park with safe neighbourhood. Gym, pool, sauna, vending machines and all facilities were great and well maintained. Rooms with private bathrooms are an ideal option for my 1 week stay. First and definitely not the last visit.

The biggest advantage of this hostel is its location. The building is quite old and a bit worn out. If you're not looking for luxury, what I got for a great price for New York was more than enough for me. It's cool that guests can also use two swimming pools, a gym and other sports facilities. There is also luggage storage (£5 per suitcase), computers and printers.

This accommodation is an excellent choice for solo travelers seeking a prime location facing Central Park. It's challenging to find a better-positioned place to stay in Manhattan at this price point. However, I would suggest that it's more suited to shorter stays, perhaps a few nights at most, given the lack of comfort. The room is rather small and antiquated, with a noisy a/c unit and bustling corridors. That being said, the property matched the descriptions provided in the instructions and met my expectations. Contrary to some reviews I read, stating the staff was unhelpful and discourteous, I found them to be consistently obliging and polite during my stay. In conclusion, while the accommodations might not be the epitome of luxury or comfort, the location and price make it an attractive option for short-term solo travelers. Any minor discomforts are counterbalanced by the convenience of being in the heart of Manhattan by an affordable price. It's a case of getting what you expect, and in that sense, this property did not disappoint.

Great value for money, had a private park view room semi private shared bathroom. Was clean, never had to wait for a bathroom. Nice, hard working cleaning staff. Park view I wouldn't pay for again, but was a novelty, windows very dirty on the outside, and hard to see out of. Excellent location, easy to access, Starbucks and Target 2 minutes walk away, nice neighborhood. Will definitely stay here for my future visits, Thank you😁
