This accommodation is an excellent choice for solo travelers seeking a prime location facing Central Park. It's challenging to find a better-positioned place to stay in Manhattan at this price point. However, I would suggest that it's more suited to shorter stays, perhaps a few nights at most, given the lack of comfort. The room is rather small and antiquated, with a noisy a/c unit and bustling corridors. That being said, the property matched the descriptions provided in the instructions and met my expectations. Contrary to some reviews I read, stating the staff was unhelpful and discourteous, I found them to be consistently obliging and polite during my stay. In conclusion, while the accommodations might not be the epitome of luxury or comfort, the location and price make it an attractive option for short-term solo travelers. Any minor discomforts are counterbalanced by the convenience of being in the heart of Manhattan by an affordable price. It's a case of getting what you expect, and in that sense, this property did not disappoint.

This is dorm-style accommodations with a small room that includes a twin bed of questionable comfort (they are different, so depends on how lucky you get), a desk, a TV that may or may not work, and a closet. Just like a dorm room. The temperature in the room is acceptable. The views may not be great, but it's downtown New York; there are no great views unless you are on the 50th floor or above. The bathrooms are shared, so that comes with everything that you can expect from a bathroom that has 3 toilets and 3 showers and is shared by many more than 3 people. If you accept this, this is a very good place to stay if you just need somewhere to sleep. The location is by far the best thing which is why they are often fully booked. You pay what you would pay for a regular 3-star hotel anywhere else. But it is still a lot less expensive than anything else in downtown New York. The rooms are not as noisy as one would think. Although if there are fireworks going off in the Central Park, you get to hear them very, very well.

god this place was incredible, right in Manhattan, just feet away from Lincoln center, Juilliard is right around the corner and the largest AMC which hosts celebrities alike (on premiers usually) is just a little down the street. the train station that will take you everywhere is right next to the pace, with a few bakeries, food stands in between. I took yoga classes and dance classes for FREE almost every morning and several evenings. there's a whole array of classes you can take (no membership even needed). the room is small but that was expected and I didn't mind at all, there's a desk and tv and somehow a pretty spacious closet with a safe. everyone in the building is so kind and helpful, and if you don't want to use the community bathrooms (always kept clean to perfection, with a keypad and lock on the outside) you can go to the 12th floor and use you key card to access one of the several private bathrooms that also have individual showers. the overall place is CLEAN and safe , was really appreciative of that.

Location is very good around the Columbus Circle line and next door to Central Park and Trump Hotel. The Hostel itself has good Wifi and facilities like indoor swimming pool and gym are available. You can get a good steam bath a the swimming pool too. The room toilet can get a bit crowded as it is shared with many other people on the same floor. I was given the corner room which has a good view of the sky scrapers. Staff were friendly although I reached the place late , they were willing to open the door for me. Security is heightened by key card and real staff checking people coming in the out the building in wee hours. Would say for this price , it is good! I came here for the NY marathon, and it was really really near the finish line, also easy to get to the start line too with the good transport. I also managed to take public transport and reach here easily from the JFK airport.

The location - on W 63rd St just off Central Park and a couple of blocks from Lincoln Center - is superb for cultural activities in that part of New York City and well connected by bus and subway to transportation centers and the whole metro area. I booked a single room with a shared bath. I found the room adequate for my needs, with good lighting, wifi, a desk and clothes storage areas, an adequate bed, a refrigerator, and towels and soap. The bathrooms were down the hall; each had a sink, toilet and shower, and were used one person at a time. They were clean. The management is courteous and efficient, and there is good security at the entrance. There were also fitness facilities that I did not visit. I booked the room at the last minute when there was disruption in Amtrak train service due to a freight derailment on the tracks.
